FREE Central Heating System
in Birmingham
If your home doesn’t currently have central heating, you could qualify for a grant to cover up to 100% of the cost of a new system. This could include a new boiler, pipework, radiators and even the gas connection if you don’t already have one.
Warm House Programme
Warm Homes is a £2.9 million programme to help more than 700 households in the Birmingham Region and is funded by the National Grid and Affordable Warmth Solution’s Warm Homes Fund. Part-funded by National Grid, the Birmingham Region Warm Homes programme will install gas-fired central heating systems and gas connections in eligible privately-owned and privately-rented homes in Birmingham and surrounded areas. The scheme is being funded through National Grid’s £150m Warm Homes Fund (£1.6m) alongside local authorities, EON, Northern Gas Networks, Housing Birmingham and private landlords. Applicable residents must not have a central heating system already installed and struggle to heat their home. If approved, householders will be offered new heating systems on a first-come, first-served basis. Qualifying home owners and landlords will receive the system at no cost
